This place is like a tree house with hammocks, fireplaces, and guitars lying around. So cute! Plus, the staff is super friendly.
Oh, but the top bunks could use a few more sockets. Sleeping and charging at the same time is such a struggle.

The hotel had a lovely and charming decor, with beautiful decorations and a cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. The common areas were accessible and well-maintained, making it easy for senior people like me to navigate around. It was a pleasure to relax and spend time in such a welcoming environment.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to be more attentive and accommodating to the needs of older guests.

The staff at the guesthouse were really friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They even went out of their way to assist with printing my flight ticket. Another great thing was the daily housekeeping service, ensuring that the place was always clean and tidy. the location of the guesthouse was perfect, with many attractions and shops within walking distance.
One thing that bothered me was the noise coming from the door to the female dorm. It was quite loud whenever someone opened or closed it.

When it comes to breakfast choices, I wish there were more options available.

This guest house offered an affordable price for a private room, making it a great choice for budget travelers. the location was convenient, with attractions such as the night market, motorbike rental shops, and restaurants within walking distance. the laid-back atmosphere with hammocks and a fire pit created a relaxed ambiance.
The room felt a bit dated and was uncomfortably hot without air conditioning. the shower experience was disappointing, resembling more of a weak spray.

I absolutely loved the cozy and welcoming ambiance of Sook Jai Guest House. The décor was charming and had a touch of traditional Thai elements, which I appreciated as a senior woman. The common areas were beautiful and well-maintained, with a lovely garden where I could relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel was also conveniently accessible for us seniors, with easy navigation and no steep stairs or difficult pathways. It made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.
It would have been even better if the children working there could provide better assistance for senior guests.

Great location near bus station and walking street. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Hostel has a laidback atmosphere with a reggae bar feel. No beer sold here but 7/11 around the corner. Free coffee and tea available 24 hours a day. Wooden patio with fire every night.
Toilet and bath not separated, which can be inconvenient. Blanket without cover, making it unhygienic.

The rooms at Sook Jai Guest House were so cozy and comfortable. I loved the seating area where I could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. The private bathroom was a great touch, and having a hairdryer and towels provided made me feel right at home. Plus, the flat-screen cable TV, refrigerator, and electric kettle added a nice touch to my stay.
Personally, I felt that the bathroom could use a new shower curtain or a door. But hey, that's just my opinion, and I'm sure others might not mind it.

The common area with hammocks and campfire in the evening was a nice touch. the friendly staff created a great atmosphere and there were guitars available to play. the location was quiet yet still within walking distance to the town.
The check-in process was a bit lax and we had to remind the staff about our change. the shared kitchen seemed unwelcoming and the staff didn't appear to like sharing it.
